Monday - Thursday
3:30 PM to 2:00 AM
$18.09 = $17.00 per hour $1.09 per hour in shift differential
Here at Black Diamond it's all about climbing and skiing. We share the same experiences that many do on rock, ice and snow and these experiences push us to make the best gear possible for our worldwide network of climbers and skiers. In this position you will be responsible for building rock climbing gear and using a multitude of different machines on the assembly line.
Responsible for production fabrication and assembly of climbing hardware, employing a range of machines and equipment in this process.
We look to keep things straightforward and with that in mind we ask all of our employees to do the same thing; successful employees with be those that show up on time, follow your standard work and help us Improve.
Be willing to learn and work in new areas of manufacturing as demands change.
Education:
Required - None
Preferred - High School Diploma or Equivelant
Work Experience:
Required - None
Preferred: Prior assembly / production activities
Skills and general experience: Must be energetic and self directed. Ability to read, write and converse in English is required. Basic mathematics knowledge. Basic problem solving and organizing skills. Demonstrated proficiency in manual dexterity. Knowledge of rock climbing is helpful. Knowledge and capability of machine operation and set-up is helpful.

Essential Functions:
1. Show up on time
a. must be on your line ready to work at the start of your shift, at the end of lunch, and after designated break times
b. staying on task during the assigned work hours and notifying the supervisor if you need to leave the work area for un-work related reasons.
2. Follow your standard work
a. able to read, understand and follow all prescribed process training documentation for an assigned task. Including information related to -
i. machine setups
ii. work instructions
iii. quality inspections
iv. cosmetic and functional guidelines
b. Responsible for inspecting hardware for prior defects before performing further operations on it.
i. responsible to recognize defects caused by own operation or set-up.
ii. takes initiative to remove defective hardware from assembly process before further operations might be performed.
c. working at the required production rate.
d. working with team members in a courteous, constructive, and professional manner that helps promote a collaborative team environment and ensure the success of the operator's team.
e. responsible for following all established safety procedures.
i. including wearing PPE at all times while in the designated work areas.
g. responsible to complete all tasks as you have been trained and instructed to do so.
h. adherence to all other Black Diamond Equipment policies at all times.
3. Help us Improve
a. continually identify ways to improve safety or to reduce waste in our operation.
b. work with your supervisor to find and implement solutions.
c. responsible to inform supervisor of problems with equipment or defects and if possible suggest solutions.
